Furry Bits - (Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow)

I have decide to attempt to some facial growth, not that I think that it looks good but I’m a rather baby faced and less than hairsuit 29 year old – I probably have more digits than hairs on my chest. So in the spirit of experimentation I am attempting to grow a goatee, I will probably look like a t**t (and a not very well trimmed one at that).

Also I’m in need of a scare-cut, it’s been several months and it’s getting a bit long, floppy and messy looking but I fancy something different. I have had a skin-head before but this is now out of the question as I want to enjoy and do something with my mop whilst I’ve still got it. For many years (oh those glorious 80s) I had a flat-top – not through choice it’s just I have a corn flick and since my hair is somewhat vertically challenged at the front it somewhat limits my choice of haircuts. Since then other than the skins look I’ve just had it a sort of messy spikey thing on my head.

So what do I go for, what’s the trend/fashion? I want to look back at photos of me and go “I can’t believe people had hair like that in the naughties!”
Haircuts I’d like but probably are out of the question:

An afro – not going to happen but I’d love to look like the busker who sings Frank Sinatra songs in Waterloo station.

Dreads – I’d like them but I don’t think it’d do my career much good and I’d have to grow my hair for ages until I could get extensions put in.

So I need your help – what should I go for?
A dodgy perm-ed mullet a la 80s footballers?
A Mohican – 80s punk style or “my name’s Mr Beckham follow my lead”?
A short crew cut, maybe with cut in patterns round the back – chav style?

Go for the mullet. It’s a timeless classic look that will never go out of fashion

If you really must go for a beard I suggest avoiding any public places where groups of small children congregate. You're liable to scare them and might even get arrested. If you have any sweets on you at the time you'll go down for sure.

Face fur? Just say no.
